ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

At The Old Quay House Hotel we aim to offer high levels of hospitality to all our guests, regardless of any permanent or temporary disability, medical condition or other specific requirement. This Accessibility Statement is designed to give you the information you need to assess how effectively we can meet your particular needs.

PUBLIC AREAS

The Restaurant, Bar and Lounge are all on one level. Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s toilets are both located on the ground floor opposite the Bar. The Hotel does not have a lift, or a hearing loop installed.

PRIOR TO ARRIVAL

Reservations can be made by website, telephone, or email.

The Hotel is located approximately 4.5 miles from Par railway and bus station. We are happy to arrange a Taxi from the station to the Hotel on your behalf (Wheelchair-suitable vehicles are available if necessary). Directions to the Hotel can be found on the website.

ARRIVAL

The reception desk is 117 cm high. Assistance with luggage is always available, we recommend stopping outside the Hotel to unload your luggage prior to parking your car. The Hotel has a couple of steps to enter the ground floor. There are multiple public car parks situated in Fowey the furthest being roughly 0.5 of a mile from the Hotel. On the way back to the Hotel from the car parks, the road is narrow and mainly flat apart from a slightly steep incline as you reach the town. There is a designated disabled parking bay 50yards from the Hotel, situated in Albert Quay Council Car Park.

ACCOMMODATION

The Hotel has no bedrooms specifically designed for use by guests with impaired mobility; however, our Staff are more than happy to discuss your requirements. All bedrooms are accessed by a main staircase with no lift facility. Bedrooms vary in terms of shape and size, however many will be suitable for guests with minor disabilities so do please feel free to call us and let our Reception team assist you.
